I am Jana Marie Rose, and I became a yoga teacher in 2013. In addition to being part of a Quaker Community in Philadelphia, PA, I practiced meditation and learned spiritual practices from various faith traditions--including Buddhism, Christianity, and Shamanic cultures. Through my meditation over the years, my spiritual seeking, as well as my consistent and regular practice of yoga, I began to have experiences that were mystical and allowed me to channel divine energy. Healing developed in my hands and my innate intuitive abilities sharpened. I also learned how to channel.
I gained my reiki certificate in 2017 and my life coaching certificate in 2020. I am also a writer and creative, and my creative practices stem from my intuition. I learned that outside of any formal modality of healing, laughter is the best medicine, and we are called to take time each day to breathe and move our bodies, as well as be more in tune with nature, if we are to find peace within ourselves and our lives.
Currently I only do bodywork on an occasional basis and my focus is healing through the arts, and helping teens. If you would like to be part of a community that holds space for the challenges we currently face in the 21st century, and wants to create art with intention and purpose to foster compassion and resilience for youth and adults, please feel free to get in touch.
Any work I do with clients consists largely of yoga postures, breath, and meditation. When you are in tune with your body and you are able to foster clean energy within yourself--outside of addictive tendencies and mental anguish--you begin to know the presence of the divine in your life is very real. Get in touch if you want to learn yoga and meditation, or have a virtual consultation/session about something happening in your life.

We are inundated with images and we underestimate the power that film and television has in our lives. When we are more conscious, we put out more conscious material. We can be discerning about what we choose to watch.
The film industry has been partly to blame for some of the negativity and distorted thinking in our culture, and the Ms. Wonderful Film Club (and blog) is intended to train us to think differently about the kinds of stories worth telling if we want to see our world improve.
